When using the online platform

I will:

  • follow all instructions from the Cambridge Admissions Office coordinator regarding the online platform
  • inform the Cambridge Admissions Office Coordinator via email, immediately, if I feel that any of the rules outlined in this user agreement has been broken by any online platform user
  • ensure all communications with other participants are via public forums
  • NOT reveal my email address to anyone while using the site, and I will keep the default setting on my profile of "hide my email address from everyone"

When making a contribution to the online platform (or via any other means of communication used on the event)

The contribution must:

  • be accurate (where it states facts)
  • be genuinely held (where it state opinions)
  • comply with applicable law in the UK and the law of the country from which it is posted
  • be relevant

The contribution must NOT:

  • contain any material that is likely to offend, provoke or attack other contributors or users of the online portal
  • contain any material that is defamatory of any person
  • contain any material that is obscene, offensive, abusive or hateful
  • promote violence or contain a statement or describe or encourage activities that could endanger the safety or well-being of others
  • promote discrimination on the basis of age, sex, sexual orientation, disability, race, religion, or nationality
  • infringe any copyright, trademark or other intellectual property right of any person or organisation
  • disclose the name, address, telephone, mobile or fax number, email address or any other personal data in respect of any individual
  • advocate, promote or assist any unlawful act or illegal activity
  • be made in breach of any legal duty owed to a third party such as a contractual duty or a duty of confidence
  • be threatening, harass, abuse or invade another’s privacy or cause annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety to any person
  • be used to impersonate any person or to misrepresent the contributor’s identity or affiliation with any person or organisation
  • contain any advertising or promote any services or web links to other sites
  • contain any material that contains viruses or any other computer code, programs or files designed to destroy, interrupt or limit the functionality of any computer, computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment.

I understand that if I break these rules, I will not only be removed from the online portal, I will also be removed from the University of Cambridge programme.
